"I absolutely LOVE this salon and Aubrey and Michelle are both genius! I have insanely thick curly hair and other stylists have actually complained about having to cut it! Every time I come in I'm late or my hair color is in need of some kind of repair - whatever - (I'm literally the WORST client EVER) they've always been sweet, accommodating and patient. The atmosphere is gorgeous, everyone seems to get along and are so friendly...I can't believe anyone has ever had a bad experience there. I think it is easily the nicest salon in Atlanta and still affordable and refreshingly un-pretentious."

"I had a wonderful experience!
Marnie at Plum Salon saved my hair.
I don't get my hair colored that often. But after another salon butchered the highlights (twice in 2 weeks)-- Marnie fixed them.
She even stayed late, 90 minutes past closing time, just to meet with me to determine if something could be done. As soon as I took off the hat (yes it was that bad) she saw how horrible my hair looked. I was worried that my hair was going to be permanently damaged by all the over-processing, but I couldn't live with FIRE ENGINE RED HIGHLIGHTS.
I was so upset I would have settled for mud brown hair... just to look normal.
Marnie went right to work on my hair... working 3 hours past closing and covered up the mess so that it is a nice, flattering shade of chestnut brown. And she even advised me about how to cope with the grow-out process, and what I could do to help the highlights blend in with my natural color.
If you have a hair emergency, or just need good hair care advice... go see Marnie. She is wonderful."

"Thank Goodness For Michelle - I am getting married next month-and have been going to the same stylist for years-- but there was some miscommunication and my hair become so dark and after going back to fix i was still not happy--- I currently relocated out of the city as well and tried out Michelle at Plum-- she was so easy to work with-- and i love my hair-- and found a new hairstylist!!

"Love love love my hair! Thank you Nikki! I came here to have my color fixed. I went to another salon where I was supposed to get blond highlights. Didn't really work out. After two attempts to try and fix them( orange, uneven) I decided to try Plum Salon. Nikki was my stylist. She listened to me and looked through my hair... I told her I wanted to be blond and she recommended that for now, because of all the processing- to stick to going darker. Not really what I wanted to hear- but apparently for the "integrity" of my hair. Wow! I'm darker- and it's beautiful! I wasn't expecting to like it so much- but I love it! And... my hair just looks and feels so much better. She said I could go lighter later, once my hair gets in better shape. Thank you again, Nikki- for fixing my hair- and doing such an incredible job. Looking forward to going lighter- but enjoying the "dark" side for now!
The salon is really cute too, everyone was super nice, I felt very comfortable, the atmosphere was cool, relaxed. So thankful to find it and a decent stylist that knows what she is doing!"

"I love this place! I went there after a long, hot day at work and I felt like I was walking into an oasis. I was instantly greeted, given a seat and a beverage while I waited for the stylist. She really listened to what I wanted; I have very difficult hair - not quite curly, not quite wavy, can be very frizzy and dry, especially in the atlanta humidity. i wanted long soft layers, my bangs made more manageable while I attempt to grow them out and highlights to cover my rapidly increasing gray. Cat did a wonderful job and when she was finished, my hair looked just like I had envisioned it. I hate it when stylists give you what they think looks best, not what you ask for but Cat did exactly what I wanted and made it even better! I have never gotten better color anywhere and the best part is that she gave me tips on how to style it easily myself and I have been - it's easy to keep it looking good because the cut was so superb. All of this and the salon is so charming, beautifully decorated and all the staff was so friendly. I'm def going back from now on. Thanks Cat!"

She is awesome, very professional, always on time, and her work is always quality. Currently I am living primarily in NYC and keep my home in Smyrna. I Come back to Smyrna every few weeks and a trip to Plum to get my hair cut with Michelle is always on schedule."

"I have been going to the same hairstylist for 20 years, I recently haven't been able to get in touch with her, so I needed to start looking for someone else. After many nights crying and a lot of research later I decided to try Plum. I went to the salon to speak to anyone who would listen my sad story, I was very nervous to have anyone else do my hair. So when I got there they were closed but one of the hairstylist (Marnie) was still there and unlocked the door to ask if she could help me. She listened to what I had to say and right then we booked an appointment. When that day came, I was excited and a nervous wreck needless to say. She made me feel extremely comfortable and we discussed different options for my hair. When she was done doing the "works" to my hair, I couldn't believe what I saw, my hair turned out beautifully, I loved it immediately! If you are weird about your hair the same way that I am, you can probably somewhat relate. My advise to you is; stop crying and get in to see Marnie, she is the bomb!! I will be a client of hers for many years to come. Thanks for giving me my confidence back Marnie! :)"

"Go to Plum Salon and ask for Cat. She is the best stylist in the world. I miss her dearly since I moved away from Atlanta...she has done my highlights and cut for years and is the only person who knows what to do with my hair to make it look fabulous. I love her to death and try to book an appointment with her whenever I'm in town. Not only does Cat work magic with a hairstyle, she is also such a genuine, cool person and I think anyone would want
to be her friend.
The salon itself is loads of fun, it's beautiful, and filled with upbeat people and great music. Oh, and any of the stylists will be happy to bring you a beverage to make your experience most enjoyable!
